1 the preparation of revised and improved floodplain studies and maps for <br />2 communities throughout Colorado and to participate in federally <br />3 sponsored floodplain map modernization activities. <br />4 (2) The amounts appropriated in this section are in addition to <br />5 amounts appropriated previously for the Colorado floodplain map <br />6 modernization program. The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of <br />7 this section shall remain available for the designated purposes until the <br />8 project is completed. <br />9 SECTION 13. Continuation of the Colorado flood decision <br />10 support system -appropriation. (1) In addition to any other <br />11 appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the <br />12 Colorado water conservation board construction fund not otherwise <br />13 appropriated, to the department of natural resources, for allocation to the <br />14 Colorado water conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, <br />15 2008, the sum of two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000), or so <br />16 much thereof as may be necessary, for the board to continue to develop <br />17 a statewide flood decision support system in order to provide a <br />18 clearinghouse of flood hazard information, timely and well organized <br />19 flood outlook data products, weather modification information, stream <br />20 restoration facts, levee and dam inventories, and other flood-related <br />21 statistics to be used by a variety of engineers, floodplain managers, and <br />22 emergency response agencies through an organized web site providing <br />23 links between data sources, users, and state flood protection staff. <br />24 (2) The amounts appropriated in this section are in addition to <br />25 amounts appropriated previously for the Colorado flood decision support <br />26 system.
