3 SECTION 9. Continuation of the South Platte decision
4 support system -appropriation. (1) In addition to any other
5 appropriation, there is hereby. appropriated, out of any moneys in the
6 Colorado water conservation board construction fund not otherwise
7 appropriated, to the department of natural resources, for allocation to the
8 Colorado water conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
9 2008, the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000), or so much thereof as
10 may be necessary, for the board to continue development of the South
11 Platte decision support system.
12 (2) The amounts appropriated in this section are in addition to
13 amounts appropriated previously for the South Platte decision support
14 system. The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall
15 remain available for the designated purposes until the project is
16 completed.
17 SECTION 10. Colorado river compact -state water right
18 administration issues and options study -appropriation. (1) In
19 addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of
20 any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board construction fund
21 not otherwise appropriated, to the department of natural resources, for
22 allocation to the Colorado water conservation board, for the fiscal year
23 beginning July 1, 2008, the sum of five hundred thousand dollars
24 ($500,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the board to
25 undertake a study to identify issues associated with the administration of
26 state water rights in the Colorado river basin under the terms of the
27 Colorado river and upper Colorado river compacts, to evaluate options to
