<br />I. INTRODUCTION AND APPLICANT E:LIGIBILITY: <br /> <br />The Tri-County Water Conservancy District (District) is a local government created pursuant to <br />Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 37 Article 45 as amended in August 1957 for the purpose of <br />developing water resources for the Uncompahgre Valley. Since 1957, the District has <br />successfully develo.ped a rural domestic water delivery system and hasbeco,me the sponsor of the <br />Dallas Creek Project, Ridgway Dam and Reservoir, which was constructed by the United States <br />.Bllreau of Reclamation as a part of the Upper Colorado River Storage Project Act <br /> <br />The ~District's boundary currently encompasses approximately 1,420 square miles and serves <br />domestic water to approximately 7,400 taps and 17,000 people in a 350 sqllare mile service area. <br />The District distributes approximately 800;000,000 gallons of treated domestic water annually. <br /> <br />II. APPLICATION SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: <br /> <br />1. Ms. Kathleen Margetts (Assistant Manager) and Mr. <br />David Roatcap (GIS Technician) will assist in data gathering and analyzing as well as review <br />of the WCP. An organizational chart is attached for your information. The District is <br />governed by a 15 mem.ber Board appointed by a State District Court They direct the goals <br />and mission for the District The District currently employs 23 people in various positions <br />shown on the organization chart. <br /> <br />2.
