North Platte Roundtable Meeting Minutes 01.16.08 4
Denise got Melissa Landon from CNHP's data information team to address the lawsuit
question raised by Rick W:
She referred to flowcharts on the application:
Colorado Open Records Act request: hi the event of a lawsuit, CSU's legal council would
try to get a sensitive data exemption. Copyright doesn't exempt them under CORA.
Defuse addressed the jurisdictional wetland question:
CHNP's inventories do not create jurisdictional wetlands. At the end of the survey they
would have polygons, so if a property falls within the large polygons, it could perhaps be
marked in their database as a wetland.
Ann Timbermann: Some of this information is available through NWI (National
Wetlands Inventory). This would be an improvement on what information is already out
there.
Pete Conovitz: how can your work help identify positive consumptive and non-
consumptive interactions?
Defuse: fly fishing, birding, ecotourism
Budget issues: Denise can revise the budget; reduce it if she gets more fiinding from
partners.
Roundtable decision: *The following must be included in the application: Any additional
funds over $10,000 will reduce the basin account by the equal amount.*
Dimmer Baller: brought up the issue of one landowner who owns land, but having a ditch
on that land owned by someone else, and what would happen in a wetlands survey in that
case.
Kent C: commented that in cases like Jim's example, or where there is disagreement
between landowners in a subdivision or development area, the project could be divisive.
Kent opened the floor to Voting for funding of CNHP's application:
Voting Members are: Kent Crowder, Barbara Vasquez, David Meyring, John Rich, Dirk
Ramsey, Dimmer Baller, Ty Wattenberg, Tom Hackleman, Rick Wyatt, Mike Allnutt,
Bob Burr, Sandra Knox, and Mike Hohnholz
VOTING
Barbara: yes
Dave: yes
Jolu1: yes
Dirk: yes
Dimmer: yes
Ty: yes
Toin: yes
Mike A: no
Rick W: no
Bob B: yes
