derived title to, or license from the owners of the Johnson

and Edwards Ditch, to the right to the! use 0;1; the water from'

said ditchs for irrigation uses or domestic uses incidental

to irrigation; and if found necessary for the purposes

aforesaid, to enlarge the said canals.

3rd. To construct from time to tcime other appliances
or contrivances, for the purpose of diverting water from the

South Platte River into said irrigation ditches to fully
utilize and maintain the appropriations of water heretofore

acquired by the owners of the Johnson and Edwards Ditch, and

established by decree of the District Court in and for the

County of Weld and State of Colorado, and to maintain all

dams and appliances, now constructed for such purposes.

4th. To acquire by purchase, grant or otherwise,

earlier appropriations of water from t"he South Platte River,

to be used in said canalsin times of scarcity, and hereafter

by enlargement or new construction, to acquire additional

appropriations of water.

5th. To construct lateral ditches to more readily

distribute water from said main canalsor its branches to

stockholders, if such course is at any time deemed desirable

by the Board of Directors.

6th. To assume all of the duties and obligations of

the owners of the Johnson and Edwards Ditch concerning said

irrigating canal~ and the distribution of water therefrom;

and to secure and satisfy all the rights and privileges

which appertain or belong to the presemt owners of water

rights under said canals, by virtue or right of any grant,

contract, or license heretofore made by the owners of the

Johnson and Edwards Ditch.

7th. To acquire title to any and all lands, easements,

tenements and hereditaments, at any time necessary or proper
