<br />8th. To borrow money for the above corporate purposes
<br />and pledge its franchises, and property, both real and
<br />
<br />personal, to secure the payment thereof, if at any time it

<br />becomes necessary so to do for the prosecution of the foregoing

<br />corporate purposes; and to have and exercise all the powers

<br />necessary and requisite to carry out and effect the objects

<br />FOURTH: The natural stream from l^,hich water is to be

<br />diverted and taken for the purposes aforesaid is the South

<br />Platte River.

<br />FIFTH: The point or place on said South Platte River

<br />at which the head-gate of said ditch is now located, and at
<br />
<br />or near which water is to be diverted and taken from said
<br />
<br />stream is at a point on the South Bank of said River at a
<br />
<br />point whence the South quarter corner of Section 24, Township
<br />
<br />5 North, Range 55 West of the 6th P.M., bears south 670
<br />
<br />east, 12.21 f~et in Morc::ran County, ColOJ=ado.
<br />SIXTH: The line of said main irrigating canal, as near
<br />
<br />as the same may be stated, is as follows: Commencing at its
<br />
<br />head-gate in the South Platte River, Morgan County, Colorado,
<br />
<br />thence in a northeasterly and easterly course through
<br />
<br />section 24, Township 5 North, Range 55 West of the 6th P.M.,
<br />
<br />Morgan County, Colorado; Sections 19, 18, 17, 16, 15,10,9,4,
<br />
<br />and 3, Township 5 North, Range 54 West of the 6th P.M.,
<br />
<br />/
<br />
<br />Washington County, Colorado, and terminating in the S~ of
<br />
<br />Section 3, Township 5 North, Range 54 West of the 6th P.M.,
<br />
<br />Washington County, Colorado.
<br />
<br />Said Company reserves the right to extend said ditches
<br />
<br />
<br />and branch laterals to supply water for irrigation purposes
<br />
<br />incidental to irrigation to lands owned by the stockholders'
<br />
<br />of said Company as may be needed in the future.

<br />SEVENTH: The uses to which the said water heretofore

<br />appropriated and hereafter to be acquired, to be conveyed by
