'I% ~aan fee}
The LPAC is a non-protit company that was incorporated in 20~4, by #he New Cache La Poudre
irrigating Company ~213 interes~} and the Cache La Poudre Reservoir Company ~113 ~nferest.}
LPAC sup~iies welf augr~entation c~ve~age for w~ll o~ners thraughout the irrigating Company
service area in Larimer and Weld Counties. There are 88 wells owned by 35 individuals~enti~ies
and the augmentation demands are approximately 324~ AF. The LPAC has filed for a permanent
Augmenta~ian Plan, and has ope~ated on a Substifu~e Water Suppiy Plan ~or 3-4 years. LPAC
propases to purchase ~he Timnath F~afrion Rese~voir, and 4.5 shares of Boxelder Ditch, and
construc~ the necessary improvements to uti~i~e the reservair for augmentation purposes. The
reservoir is located En Larimer County af the nor~heas~ corne~ of I-~5 and Harmony Road, and would
be filied via a laterai from the Boxelder DEtch located on the west side of I-25. The reservoir
currently has a sto~age capacity of approximate~y 657 AF, with a depth of 12-15 feet. The ~eservoir
area was mined fo~ sand and gravel and iined with clay once mining was comp~ete. The rese~voir
has received SE4 certification as a lined gravel pit s~orage facilify. The ~eservoir is desirab~e
because of its locati~n relat~ve to the irrEgat~ng Company and ~he depletions associated wEth the
LPAC Augmentat~on Plan. The Irr~gating Company river divers~on structure is just downstream of
the reservai~, less than two miles w~th no inferven~ng diversions. Thus, any water released out of
reservoir can be left in the river to replace well depietions in various reaches of the Augmentation
Plan, or taken to o~her facili~ies wi~hin ~he service area. The acquis~tion of the Boxe~der Ditch
shares provides #he LPAC a good senior righ~ to respond quickly to augmentation plan needs.
.ati
FT ~~LLCN~ -~~~
¢ .,
~.
~~~ ~
~.~,~~
