SWSI Phase 2 Scope of Work <br />Task 1.3 Technical Roundtable Meetings <br />Purpose <br />The purpose of the TRT meetings is to discuss items identified in Task 2 with <br />participants from multiple basins and interest groups. The TRT meetings will be open <br />to the public and a portion of the meetings will be devoted to obtaining public input. <br />Approach <br />Consultant will conduct and facilitate TRT meetings for each technical area and <br />develop consensus on the path forward. The TRT meetings will primarily be technical <br />in nature, where local interests (water providers, water users, local governments, <br />federal and state agencies, environmentalists, etc.) will provide information on water <br />planning needs. This will be accomplished by performing the following tasks: <br />^ Communicate project goals, methodology, and status for each technical area <br />^ Identify sources of information on each technical area <br />^ Develop strategies for achieving statewide objectives <br />^ Develop a list of alternatives to meet water supply needs <br />^ Identify implementation needs/issues <br />^ Evaluate the alternatives and recommend a path forward <br />Assumptions/Basis of Costs <br />^ Consultant will conduct three TRT meetings for each area, for a total of 12 <br />meetings. The number of TRT meetings may be redistributed depending on the <br />needs of the TRT. <br />^ Each TRT meeting will last approximately 4 hours in duration. <br />^ Attendees at each meeting will include one to two members from the Consultant <br />team, a CWCB Board member, and a designated CWCB staff member. <br />Summary of Deliverables <br />^ TRT meeting minutes <br />^ TRT PowerPoint presentations and meeting materials <br />^ Memorandum summarizing issues for each TRT <br />Task 1.4 Basin Roundtable Meetings <br />Purpose <br />The purposes of the BRT meetings are to evaluate and have input to the TRT findings <br />from a Basin perspective. BRT meetings will address basin priorities, inter-basin <br />issues as they arise, and negotiation tools. The BRT meetings will be open to the <br />public and a portion of the meetings will be devoted to obtaining public input. <br />Approach <br />Consultant will conduct and facilitate BRT meetings in each of the state's eight river <br />basins to identify a list of water supply alternatives and projects and develop <br />consensus on the path forward with these projects.
