Meeting Summary

. D21 - Tier 1, in permitting stage; M&I beneficiary would be P A WSD; estimated 1,500 AFY
yield would be used to enhance existing demands.
. D22 - this study resulted in the recommendation for the Dry Gulch project; as such it is
redundant and this option should be deleted from the list.
. D23 - essentially Tier 1; starting to permit it now, design is complete.
. It was noted that P A WSD's Stevens and Dutton projects will meet needs through 2010 to
2015; Dry Gulch would meet demands out until around 2030.
. D24 - Tier 3; it is being considered as a potential CWCB study.
. D25 - Tier 3, conceptual; there is some precedent for this type of project on the Cache la
Poudre River via the Colorado Water and Power Development Authority.
. A new interruptible supply option should be added to the list.
. D26 - Tier 3; first suggested in the CWCB instream flow conference in 2003, though it is not
currently on CWCB's potential study list now.
. D27 - Tier 1; parts of this project are underway, and some aspects need funding; this is more
of a "maintenance item" than a new source of supply.
. D37 - Tier 3.
. A new option (Tier 2) for consolidation or piping of Mancos ditches should be added to the
list of options; currently in planning stage.
. A participant noted that the planning process for a new Mancos Conservancy District is
underway, and that the Town of Mancos has a planning processes underway.
. D28 - This option is not viable unless there would be a significant reduction in the price of
electric power; this option should be deleted from the list as there is no current proponent.
. D29 - Tier 1, has been studied in depth; strictly for meeting CWCB instream flow.
. D30 - Tier 2; this project would provide a replacement source and some additional M&I
supply through about 2030; needs to go through water court.
. D31 - Ongoing process - programmatic approach to existing and new depletions.
. D32 - Tier 2; Agriculture and M&I beneficiaries; has some financing issues; may be an
alternative to Gurley Reservoir expansion/Lone Cone Reservoir.
. D33 - There are currently no proponents for this project; delete this option from list.
. New Tier 2 option for inclusion on the list: expansion of Gurley Reservoir by about 800 AF.
. New Tier 2 option for inclusion on the list: expansion Lone Cone Reservoir by about
4,000 AF.
. D34 - Tier 3.
. New option for inclusion on the list: Water Management Plan for San Miguel Water
Conservancy District.
. New option for inclusion on the list: Ed Joe Draw dam site for M&I purposes.
. New option for inclusion on the list: San Miguel pump station for Town of Norwood (M&I).
. It was noted that Tri-state's Nucla Plant will be needing additional supply, though
participants were unsure how to address this in the context of SWSI.
. D35 - this is a conceptual approach to removing a constraint.
. D36 - Tier 3.
. D38 - Portions of this project have been implemented; "Roundtail" is correct in catalog, not
"Roundtree"; this is an ongoing process and should be considered Tier 1.
. D39 - Conceptual, multi-beneficiary option; some ongoing examples.
. D41, 42, 43 - Tier 3; these options have all been studied and have multiple purposes.
