The proposed Chatfield Reservoir Reallocation would allow for <br />additional water supply without building a new storage facility. <br />. It would avoid transmountain diversion of water from Colorado's <br />West Slope. <br />. The water would have multiple-uses, including municipal and <br />agricultural. This additional water will greatly help growing <br />populations in the Denver metropolitan area as well as farmers in <br />northeast Colorado already struggling with diminishing water <br />supplies. <br />.
