Emphasize need for passage of FY08 Energy and Water Development <br />Appropriations Bill that includes funding for Chatfield FRlEIS. <br />Hoping to hold the Senate amount of $273,000 ($200,000 was in <br />House bill; $400,000 was request). <br />. Note expected request for FY09 Energy and Water Development Bill <br />will be $400,000. <br />. Discuss current Corps issues: <br />o Seeking reduced or zero cost for storage space. <br />o O&M funding may be used to pay Corps staff for their <br />involvement in environmental and recreational mitigation. <br />o Seismic issues: <br />· May need approximately $100,000 in federal funding <br />for SSR Phase II work. <br />· Concerned about Section 1203 WRDA 1986 that <br />requires that costs incurred in rnodifications for dam <br />safety assurance shall be recovered. <br />.
