Or2~nization Retained t() Assist in Preparation of the Plan: <br /> <br />The Eagle River Water & Sanitation District ado.pted its rust Water Conservation Plan in <br />1990 and created a part-time Water Conservation Ofncer position. Since then, the Plan <br />has tmdergone several revisions and a full-time Water Conservation Officer position was <br />created. In 2007 the District hired a. new weo specifically tasked to develop and <br />implement an updated Water Conservation Plan. TheWCO will oversee and manage all <br />aspects of Plan development. <br /> <br />I-Iydrosphere Resource Consultants, Inc. (Hydrosphere) has worked with the District <br />since its inception on a wide variety of projects, including the development of the 1990 <br />Water Conservation Plan. Over this time, 'Hydrosphere has developed an in-depth <br />understanding of the District's water supply system and service area characteristics. <br />Hydrosphere has experience helping clients manage demands thrOllgh water conservation <br />including application of the CWCB Guidance Document. Attachment D provides a <br />more detailed description of Hydrosphere's water conservation experien,ce. <br /> <br />3. Retail Water Delivery for the Years 2000 - 2006: <br /> <br />The Districfs total annual water delivery from 2000 throllgh 2006 by ace-Ollnt type is <br />shown in Table 1. Average annual water use for the 2000 through 2006 period was 2,829 <br />acre-feet. The effects of a drought period can be seen with decreases in totalllse in 2002 <br />through 2004, with water use increasing in, 2005 and 2006 as drought impacts <br />diminished. Water use over the past several years has also been impacted by luajor <br />redevelopment efforts under way in the Town of VaiL Sinc.e 2003 many hotels and other <br />commercial establishments have been out of service or operating in a reduced capacity <br />while these efforts are completed.
