Eagle River Water & Sanitation District CWCB Water Conservation Grant Application
Page 1 0 of 17

The following Sllbtasks are included:
· Profile Characteristics of the Existing Water Sllpply System;
· Identify Sources of Water;
. Identify System Limitations;
· Characterize Water Costs and Pricing;
. Review Current Policies and Planning Initiatives; and
· Summarize Cllrrent Water Conservation Activities.

Task Responsibilities:

.District
Assemble data and other information needed for subtask completion, provide direction to
Hydrosphere. Revie\v draft \vork products and .provide feedback. to Hydrosphere. Inform
tIle Board of Directors of the initiation of the Plan developlnent process.

Hydrosphere
Make data request to the District and locate additional data as needed. Provide quality
control and analyze data, develop text, tables, and figures, and complete applicable
worksheets.

Task Deliverables:
· Draft "Existing Water System" section of the Water Conservation Plan.

Task 2: Develop a Water Use Profile and Forecast Future Water Demand - Under
this task, an analysis of current water use, demand forecast, and system limitations will
be completed. This task will reqllire all project participants to work closely to insure that
appropriate and consistent data and methodologies are llsed in the analysis. In addition,
various methods of estimating current and projected service area populations and water
use, including the impacts of seasonal residents, will be evaluated.

The following su,btasks are included:
· Characterize C1IITent Water Use, including developing realistic population
estimates;
. Select Forecasting Method; and
. Prepare Demand Forecast.

Task Re.sponsibilities:

District
Work with Hydrosphere to identify information needs and determine the most
appropriate approaches to characterize current water use based upon available data. The
selection of a forecasting methodology and preparation of the demand forecast will rely
upon water supply planning investigations that are currently being completed by the
District. The District will also provide data and other information needed for subtask
work to be completed by Hydrosphere and provide feedback to f-Iydrosp,here on Plan text.
