TRT Meeting Notes
Eric Wilkinson: All projects need to be looked at.
Dan McAuliffe.: How can the front range roundtables move this along?
Eric Wilkinson: These three roundtables need to put pressure on the CWCB to move forward
with the array of water supply projects on a conmlon technical platform costs, benefits, etc.
Rick Brown: Can we see if the West Slope has some comments?
Travis Smitln: Four years in to the process, I see some cooperation breaking out. SWSI 2 leas
projects coming.
Dan McAuliffe: Here is a concrete discussion, if you want this kind of study looking at all of
these projects you can put a Scope of Work together for the CWCB Board to take action on.
All of these proposals are directed to relieving Gap of Front Range. Everybody is saying go
ahead for a long time.
Dan Bircln: A few points on behalf of Yampa Basin: Yampa should not be portrayed as a project.
There will be a "Hell no, not one dropvoice" Yampa is an intact system. Moffat County would
say it is great. In the middle, we are not in support of project until a number of items are
addressed. ESA will be huge.
Rod Kulnarich.: Rick Brown presented same big picture projects. I am seeing here in the Front
Range roundtables a consensus to look at these projects. Ground zero is the Front Range. We
need to convey our interest to the CWCB.
eris Danielson: We are Coloradans, what do we want Colorado to look like?
Roland Fisher said he would rather see the water go to California than Denver. We all know tlne
only unused water is in the Colorado River Basins, we have been fighting since 1922 to preserve
our compact water.
Doug Scott: We can move this forward and be able to finance this.
Bill erke: We need to pick a project and move forward. Roundtables should meet twice a year
or quarterly.
Alan Hammel: IBCC meeting lead similar discussions on moving this state forward. Three
roundtables should meet and all roundtables should meet with the IBCC. Put a joint resolution
together to meet.
Rick Brown: Tlne CWCB will adopt fine first five sections of SWSI and flnink about Section 6 over
the next 2 months.
Alan Hammel: Need to get all nine roundtables together.
C~~
