TRT Meeting Notes
anet Bell: Front SWSI criteria I would add the ability to capture spring runoff. Tl1e SWSI criteria
are ready to go. Need to move forward to do this and do not need 2 months.
Eric Hecox: T11e West Slope may not have a strong consensus.
anet Bell: The West Slope is already rounding up fl1e wagons. We do not need fl1e West Slope,
does this create a political problem?
Dan McAuliffe: We need to get consensus of IBCC before CWCB moves forward.
Rick Brown: We Have some flexibility to address alternatives. We need to move forward on fl1e
consumptive side before we start quantifying nonconsumptive needs.
Don Schwuldt: CWCB knows how to do this and we have for a long time, have a lot of
confidence in t11e staff.
Sasha Charney: We cannot have a unilateral agenda to go forward with studies we should wait
until 2010 and for the West Slope and we need to look at nonconsumptive not as wants but as
elements that are real.
Wayne Vanderschuere: Need to write a letter to the State Legislature.
Get on with it. Need to get a preliminary evaluation of alternatives.
These studies can go on for years, we need to get $500K directed at these projects.
Some of us do not have time to wait to 2010 to start plann>11g. We need to do a cursory
alternative analysis.
Send out a consumptive use survey need to get responses.
We need a resolution to look at projects and not just a West Slope solution for t11e Front Range.
Need to prove that we all need to be part of the solution.
Do not have a quorum to endorse a resolution, but can endorse statements.
Eric Hecox: Will convey substance to CWCB Board tomorrow.
Ken Neubaker: Assessment needs to look at a variety of tools. A study looking at large
pumpbacks only will lead to failure. Putting a scope of work and getting it to t11e West Slope
roundtables.
/+~'~w 9
