TRT Meeting Notes <br />Yampa Pumpback -Eric Wilkinson <br />Eric Wilkinson described the history of Yampa Pumpback thought the IBCC could pickup this <br />project. <br />NCWCD does not want to see the dry up of agriculture >11 their area. <br />Yampa and South Platte have met on this project. Yampa Bas>11 has some concerns: ESA, <br />wildlife, scenic, rec uses, water quality, agricultural water and front range market. Want 60,000 <br />acre-feet from a project. <br />Jeff Draper presented details of Yampa Pumpback. <br />Questions: <br />How many reservoirs? <br />Jeff Draper: 500,000 acre-feet on West Slope; 75,000 acre-feet on East Slope <br />Did annual O&M cost include debt recovery: <br />Jeff Draper: No. <br />Can you give us an idea of costs of study? <br />Jeff Draper: $100,000 <br />Don't you think it would be valuable to do a benefit cost comparison with the other Pumpback <br />Projects that would only be about $500,000? <br />Jeff Draper: Yes <br />One of $Ze issues that was not addressed was water rights associated with t11is. It is impossible <br />to plan for a large project. T11is coupled wit11 ?legislation for Colorado Basin of origin without <br />West Slope and transbasin diversion support. Will you8 Put the water rights filing together and <br />get t11e users def>11ed to Pass t11e can and will test? <br />Eric Wilkuzson -NCWCD will not file for the water rights. <br />Don Ament -Quantify t11e benefits for the West Slope. <br />Teris Danielson: 60,000 acre-feet of yield for West Slope, West Slope needs to come to table, can <br />upsize reservoir near Maybell for releases. CBT diverters could buy >11 to this project and leave <br />water in headwaters. <br />~~ <br />
