Need to remember this.
Car•Z Trick: What about reallocation of money from statewide to basin account?
Ray TJ'r•ight: In the Rio Grande, there was not a great opportunity to tie back to SWSI.
Colorado Basin Roundtable Presentation
Dave Merritt and members of the Colorado Basin (Lane Wyatt Summit County, Greg Trainer
Gradn Junction) presented Colorado Basin issues.
QUESTIONS:
Ray TJ'r•ight: Mentioned impact on instream flows from agriculture to golf course. There are also impacts: Phosphorous loading in Dillon,
TDS in Grand Valley, no concensus on West Slope on this project.
Stan Cazier: There are no upstream benefits to Grand and Summit county without some more
Denver Water Board concessions.
Hargis Sherman: Does anyone want to comment on the Flaming Gorge Project?
Dave Merritt: Creates a very large demand for water.
Eric Hecox: How do you deal with the growth issue in the Colorado Basin?
Dave Merritt: We do not. We have special districts. We can look at how the municipal
providers look at things.
Harris Sherman: What role do you see for western Colorado in water conservation?
Colorado Water Conservation Board
Flood Protection • Water Project Planning and Finance • Stream and Lake Protection
Water Supply Protection • Conservation and Drought Planning • Intrastate Water Planning
