Water Supply Reserve Account ? Grant Application Form
Form Revised May 2007
_______________________________________
The ET shown for the different crops are based on Kc values available in the literature. The lysimeter data
described in Task 1 will result in Kc values specific to growing conditions in the Arkansas Valley and will allow
an accurate prediction of crop water use throughout the basin.
The basic deliverables from Task 2 are 1) reference ET values for all areas of the lower Arkansas Valley and 2)
consumptive water use values for the major crops in different area of the basin.
2d. Personnel ? A partially funded research associate has been employed by the Arkansas Valley Research Center
(CSU AVRC) and will be responsible for monitoring the COAgMet weather station network and conducting
necessary maintenance and instrument calibration. The calculation of ET and assessment of crop water use will
involve scientists at the Arkansas Valley Research Center (CSU AVRC) as well as faculty in the Departments of Soil
and Crop Sciences and Civil and Environmental Engineering at Fort Collins.
II.
