<br />We will initiate the promotion of the Water Conservation Workshops with a "Save the Date" elnail "bla.st" to <br />the local sponsor~. our current em ail list (developed during the first phase of the proj ect,\\' hich includes about <br />650 individual contacts), the State Legislator list, and other identified and potentially interested Workshop <br />attendees. We will also for,vard the "Save the Date" to OW~ past attendees so they can for\vard it (and <br />presumably promote it) to other interested parties. We "vill also support a mailing of the evening policy <br />dialogue invitation to those individuals and entities \vithout e-mail addresses. <br /> <br />Once the program for the \~lorkshops and forums have been firmly established, vve will promote them using e- <br />InaiJ blasts and other appropriate advertising likely to include brief announcements at the various 1177 Basin <br />Roundtable Hleetings and SWSI meetings, advertising in the Colorado Water Wise Council cluarterly <br />newsletter, andweb-postings with the Colorado Foundation for Water Education, the CWCB, the EDO, the <br />project stakeholders a.nd other groups. <br /> <br />We will develop a printable Water Conservation Workshop Program for each of the t\VO venues that can be <br />mailed to the selected participants. This saIne program can be distributed at meetings by the project <br />stakeholders, members of the CWCB and EDO, etc. The 'Vvebsite postings\\rill include the progranls, and <br />links to ",rorkshop and forum content such as agendas and lists of speakers. As the lneetings progress, <br />inforlnation collected at the \vorkshops and forums \~,..ill be included in the website posting so that prospective <br />audience members can better lmderstand the project. <br /> <br />The workshops and forums will be free of charge to anyone who wallts to attend because the <br />issues and content to be discussed are considered vital to a healthy V\1ater resources plallllin,g <br />and management dialogue in our State. <br /> <br />Task 2: Share Information at Workshops and Forums <br />At the workshops and forums, \ve ,,yill provide attendees\'vith inforlnation that will help theln use ,vater lllore <br />efficiently in their communities. Attendees ,vill receive: <br /> <br />. Printed materials from technical experts presenting the Guidance Doculnent; <br />· An electronic copy of the Guidance Document in user-friendly html forlnat consistent with the <br />CWCB web site; <br />. Presentation agendas) speaker biographies, and contact iruormation; <br />. Presentations in appropriate forillat (e.g., Po\verPoint slides); <br />. Technical analyses of savings potential of water conservation measures; <br />. Information on enforcement and other implementation costs; and <br />. Sample BMPs, planning documents, and other materials. <br /> <br />The Technical Workshops will be used to teach the issues related to "vater conservation planning and <br />implementation as developed by the CWCB, the Colorado WaterWise Council and researchers nationwide. <br />l~he issues that we will present inel ude: <br /> <br />.
