<br />understanding of meaningful \vater conservation to ,vater planners) managers and elected and appointed <br />officials in Colorado. <br /> <br />Project Approach and Scope of Work <br /> <br />Given that the previous ,yorkwith the Office and our project stakeholders allowed us to develop messaging, <br />program format and content) and communications protocols) we are proposing a streamlined scope of work <br />the includes a three-step a}lproach which includes: <br /> <br />t) Developing the )lrogram for and pronloting each of the two technical workshops and <br />forums - ,vorking \vith our current project team and stakeholder group (e.g.} the Office, Northern <br />Colorado Water Conservancy District and the City of Westminster), and other ilnportant project partners, <br />we will develop the final prograIll for the techllical \vorkshops and forutns to include appropriate local and <br />regional speakers for each setting, and for"\vard inforrnation to those that have been identified as likely <br />attendees using e-mail) and various informational ,^reb sites (e.g., CWCB, Colorado Foundation for Water <br />Education, etc.). We will llse email blasts to promote the program by sending out a "Save the Date" <br />announcement plus an announcernent containing the program for each of the two Water Conservation <br />Workshops - one in Bertboud and one in Westlninster. .Our project team will also perform focused phone <br />calling to targeted organizations and elected ofB.cials to prOlnote the workshops and stimulate participation, <br /> <br />-rhis part of the project "vill also include planning for and engaging the target audience (i. e.) elected officials <br />and water utility managers in the North Front Range that are associated with those entities that receive ra\\' <br />,"vater from the Colorado Big Thompson Project) to attend an evening policy clia.logue scheduled to follovl the <br />technical workshop. I'he target audience rnailing list ,,,,ill be developed by Nortbern, whereas the invitation, <br />the emaiJ blast and the regular mail mailing "vill be prepared by GWI and other Inelnbers of our team. <br /> <br />3) Conduct two sets of techllical workshops and forullls, and one evening policy dialogue - <br />including presentation of materials and messages that have been developed by tIle Office (e.g., Water <br />Conservation Plan Development Guidance Docu,ment) and other project stakeholders (i.e. ~ Colorado <br />Water Wise Council), sharing of technical resources) and sharing of lessons learned about local and regional <br />water conservation successes and continuing challenges. We will also stimulate policy discussions to help <br />identify issues related to water conservation planning and llllplementation. Finally, we will facilitate the <br />everting policy dialogue that will be scheduled to occur in Berthoud. <br /> <br />4) Compile and Organize Contact and Exit Survey Data - so that infoflnation collected through <br />attendance listst emails, and exit surveys will be organized and sumlnarized to help CWCB and other <br />stakeholders who can contribute technical and/or financial assistance (e.g., CWWC), and target <br />organizations and entities that are looking for aid in developing and implementing water conservation <br />me.asures and programs. <br /> <br />A detailed discussion of each of these three steps is provided below and summarized in Appendix A. <br /> <br />Task J: Plan and Pronlote Workshops and Forums <br />This task will be used to develop the program for each of the t'\1VO Water Conservation Workshops (and the <br />one everTIng policy dialogue) and promote the Workshops in advallce of tlle event.
