<br />CDI\II <br /> <br />Castle Pines North Metropolitan District <br />Application for Water Efficiency Grant <br /> <br />Although not within the scope of this project" if the Irrigation Management System is <br />proven successful, the District plans to encourage the HOAs within its service area to <br />lItap into" the District's Irrigation Management System. The HOAs would purchase <br />their own flow meters and communication accessories, yet would use the District's <br />weather station and control center. This could significantly improve irrigation <br />efficiency and extend the benefits and water savings throughout the District's service <br />area. <br /> <br />4.2 Proj ectT asks <br /> <br />The following tasks outline the maj.or actions needed to install and initiate operation <br />of the Irrigation Management System. The roles and responsibilities of each <br />participant and deliverables for each task is also provided. <br /> <br />Task 1 - Phase I Installation <br /> <br />Purpose <br />This task involves the installation of the weather station, central control station)' <br />meters, valves)' and conununicatioll accessories n~eded to manage the irrigation on <br />Upper Coyote Ridge and Lower Coyote Ridge parks. <br /> <br />Roles and Responsibilities <br />The District plans to purchase the equipment from Ewing Irrigation4 Ewing Irrigation <br />would work closely with the District in installing the equipment. Parker Electric <br />would be responsible for the installation of electrical lines for the centralized Weather <br />Station. The District would coordinate and facilitate the installation effort with <br />representatives from Calsense and Ewing Irrigation. Table 4 at the end of this section <br />outlines the specific responsibilities, billing ratesJ and anticipated service time for <br />District staff and other responsible parties. <br /> <br />De liverables <br />Contingent on grant fundirig availability, the District plans to begin the installation in <br />July 2007. Section 5.0 provides a preliminary schedule. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Phase II Installation <br /> <br />Purpose <br />This task involves the installation of the remaining meters, valves, and <br />communication accessories needed to manage the irrigation on Retreat Park, South <br />Open Space Park, North Open Space Park, and Daniels Gate Park. <br /> <br />Roles and Responsibilities <br />The District plans to purchase the equipment from Ewing Irrigation. Ewing Irrigation <br />would work closely with the District in installing the equipment The District would <br />be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the installation effort. Table 4 atLh.e <br />end of th,is section outlines the specific responsibilities)' billing rates, and anticipated <br />service time for District staff and other responsible parties.
