1-2

a. Natural channel.
b. Major underground conduit.
c. Relocate channel thalweg.
d. Lined flood channel.
e. Combination of the above.

6. Obtain legal opinion for each alternative.

7. Evaluate the environmental impact of each alternative.

The scope of services for Phase B includes the following items:

1. Perform final hydrological studies to determine the magnitude
and volume of flood runoff to be used for design purposes.
This information shall be presented in hydrograph form.

2.

Design Criteria shall be developed specifically for the sub-
ject project which will be compatible with the Urban Drainage
and Flood Control drainage criteria to permit obtaining of
Federal aid should such Federal aid be available and
desirable.

~

3. The final mapping showing plan and profile will be pre-
pared at a scale of I-inch to 100 feet and with a contour in-
terval of 2 feet and will be shown on 24-inch by 36 -inch mylar.

4. The approximate channel requirements will be outlined on
the map.

5. A plan and profile will be prepared for all the Basin channel
and flood plain in order to show right-of-way widths required,
approximate thalweg elevations at all street cros sings,
and approximate water surface elevations for the design
flood.

6. The Preliminary Design drawings (1) shall be prepared on
24" x 36" sheets accompanied by a written report presenting
the hydrological data, design criteria, narrative description
of the Preliminary Design (2), together with estimated costs
of the works at present-day prices. Costs shall not include
right-of-way.

.

(I) Referred to herein as Volume II.
(2) Referred to herein as Volume I.
