<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION B <br /> <br />STATEMENT OF WORK <br /> <br />B.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The Recipient shall be responsible for carrying out the research or development study <br />as outlined under one of the research areas described in Section A.3. The duration of <br />the research shall be for one (1) year, with potential for follow-on funding for successful <br />projects. Recipients must provide 50% or more cost-share in these agreements in <br />accordance with Section B.3 below. It is anticipated that awards will be made during <br />the fall of 2002, with an anticipated project start date of no later than December 20, <br />2002. <br /> <br />Offerors shall include in their proposal a detailed Research Work Plan (RWP) and <br />schedule showing individual tasks with significant milestones identified for the work to <br />be accomplished. The RWP shall be the working document that implements this <br />Statement of Work. The Recipient shall adhere to Federal, state, and local laws, <br />regulations, and codes, as applicable. <br /> <br />The offeror must make a commitment to conduct the research study or development <br />within Hawaii and 17 states of the United States. All information from studies <br />sponsored or funded under the authority cited in Section A.2.1 shall be considered <br />public information. <br /> <br />B.2 PROJECT REPORTING AND REVIEW REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The Recipient shall furnish quarterly progress reports and a final technical report as a <br />permanent record of the work accomplished under the agreement. Project reports and <br />meetings constitute the major means of information exchange between the Recipient <br />and Reclamation. Report distribution shall be made as set forth in Section C, herein. <br /> <br />B.2.1 Quarterly Technical Progress Reporls ~ ~ A fl": I . <br /> <br />The Recipient shall provide three (3) quarterly progress reports. These rJports shall be..JL. <br />submitted within 30 days following the last day of the 3rd, 6th, and 9th month after ~ <br />award of this agreement. Quarterly technical progress reports shall be letter-style <br />reports. They shall include a narrative summary both of completed activities and <br />activities in progress, a calculation of percent of completed work based on work <br />identified in the RWP, the reason for slippage if objectives or milestones are not met, a <br />prediction of future activities and how they will be accomplished, and a discussion of <br />issues and problems which may impact the ability to complete the work on time or within <br />budget.
