Meeting Minutes

The City of Greeley is located in northern Colorado along Highway 85 and is partially located in
the Cache La Poudre River (poudre River) floodplain. The Poudre River is the focus of a
proposed floodplain revision in the Greeley. The City requested assistance from the CWCB to
review and revise a floodway delineation in the downtown Greeley area (a split floodway impacts
a commercial/industrial area) and to make other minor revisions to the existing hydraulic model
and floodplain delineation.

Meetin2 Purpose
CWCB staff scheduled a meeting at the City offices on Aug. 1,2001 regarding issues related to
the Poudre River floodplain revisions. The meeting served as a kick-off to the Corps of
Engineers analysis of the floodplain and revisions to the hydraulic model that will serve as the
technical basis for a FEMA map revision. The CWCB and Corps provided information to the
Town regarding the study, and the Town was given the opportunity to ask questions, provide
input, and discuss their needs and concerns about the Poudre River floodplain.
