Water Supply Reserve Account – Grant Application Form <br />Form Revised May 200 7 <br />_______________________________________ <br /> <br />? <br /> Lessen loss of Rio Grande Compact waters to the system <br />? <br /> Stabilize riparian corridor <br />? <br /> Lessen the total maximum daily silt load (TMDL) to a significant but undetemined degree <br />? <br /> Improve water quality to some undetermined degree <br /> <br />II. Personnel <br /> <br />Robins Construction LLC, also known as Robins Backhoe and Dozer Service (the company) has been in business <br />since 1976 providing quality work for the local community . We are medium size construction company employing <br />anywhere from 16 to 20 employees. We specialize in sand and gravel, road construction, bridge construction, <br />concrete work, sewer and water pipe installation and all phases of sub division design and construct ion. Please see <br />the company’s website at www.robinsconstruction.com to view some of these projects . A list of references on past <br />performance is attached with this proposal. <br />Robins Construction also carri es a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy per accident. <br />Work Experience for Past Five Years <br />During the past 5 years The company has performed projects in which the following work has been accomplished. <br />United States Forest Service <br />In June 2005 The company completed a $ 250,000 contract with the USFS at the Elk Creek Campground Contract <br /># 50 - 82X9 - 4 - 0161 which consisted of expanding the campground electrical system, installing a new water system <br />(water well modifications - submersible pump), installi ng a utility building including plumbing, chlorinator, wiring <br />system, holding tank, and water distribution lines to 3 loops and Campground Manager site, 6 hydrants, curb stops <br />and daylight drains; a new 3 panel bulletin board, reconstructing of the existi ng campground loop roads and <br />applying aggregate, moving roadside barrier rock, relocating a fee tube, installing road directional signs, <br />reconstructing the Campground Manager site including a septic tank as well as constructing 4 other use pads which <br />inclu ded new picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern poles. The company also seeded and mulched all disturbed areas. <br /> The relevancy to the current project is that the current project that The company is bidding is the second phase of <br />the above named project. A ll work was completed in the allotted time frame and according to specifications. The <br />company is also in the process of completing Phase II of this same contract. <br />In 2004 the company completed about $6500 worth of work for Bison Construction at the Old El k Creek <br />Campground, which entailed placing a walk bridge over Elk Creek and dirt work for the abutments. A lso the <br />company supplied and delivered $35,000 of Class 6 for the Aspen Glade Campground, and has completed several <br />small projects in the area campgr ounds such as septic tank installations, toilet removals, and flag pole excavation <br />to name a few. <br />In 2006 the company also completed Phase 2 of the above named Campground which consisted of similar work <br />totaling around $250,000 <br />Bridge Construction <br />We have constructed and or set over 11 bridges over the Conejos River, Elk Creek, Sheep Creek, Los Pinos River, <br />Cottonwood Creek, and the Rio Grande near Squaw Creek, throughout the San Luis Valley. Those of which <br />include bridges in the Bear and Sheep Creek Subdi visions, Tixier Ramirez Sub - Division, Ponderosa Sub - division <br />and Campground. Several for Summit Engineering Company, and private owners Kelly Mottel in the San Miguel <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />
