NOV-Q2-2000 THU 10:14 AM NOLTE ASSOCIATES

FAX NO. 8702212415

P. 03/07

"

~ .,.

Periodi" project meetings will be held for updates regarding the project's progress and to resolve
important points for inclu.<!ion of specific information in the project definition study. For purposes of
this scope of services, one project meeting is planned.

As the project nears its 80-percent completion, we anticipate that the Town will hold a public
informlltion meeting a.~ a workshop at the Town Board ofTrustccs. The public information
meeting will probably be held in early December.

Noltc/EDRC representatives will be in attendance to offer insight into the technical questions
that ma.y be raised during the meeting. The purpose ofhokling the public information meeting is
to educate the public about the proposed design alternatives and to elicit feedback that can be
used to modity the preferred alternative.

The project team will prepare a variety of large fonnat (24-inch by 36-inch) wall exhibits and
smaller format handou1S.

Delivetable Work Products:

. Meeting minutes from the kick-off meeting and each project meeting
. Large Fonnat E:d1ibits

Ia.2 - ijydroIoey and Hydraulic Analysis of Selected Project

The selected project will direct flows from Coal Creek around the Town of Wellington and
outfall to Boxelder Creek. The selected project analysis will include the Alexander Hilderman Jr.
propeIty as a potential channel route. The hydrologic axWysis will be completed using the
adoptc:d hydrologic model(s) available from Colorado Water Conservation Board (eWeB) and
the NalturaJ Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The models and a5sooiated reports will be
used tl) provide input to the hydraulic models for the selected project. It is anticipated that the
hydrau.lic analysis will include preliminary engineering calculations, and computer modeling,
including water surface modeling. These effurts will define the size, configuration and location
of the selected project. An estimate of project construction cost will be provided. The estimate of
costs will be used to compare the selected project with the alternatives that have been previously
studied.

De1iv~~rable Work Products:

. One copy of the hydrologic and hydraulic calculations completed for the project will
be provided as an appendix to the Fea.~ibi1ity Report.

11101/00

1

o :\Pislll:r~p.l"\HlJt'I'mann 2000\FCS _ oOe.doe
