<br />· Mark Catlin. Would like to see the Taylor Park exchange as example for the rest of <br />the state. Would like to find ways to work collaboratively. <br />· Brad Wind. Interested in learning about the basis of the tools and how the tools can <br />used in wide variety of situations across the state <br />· Larry MacDonnell. Nonconsumptive and consumptive needs need to be eventually <br />looked at together. Would like to see a baseline of condition of Colorado's <br />watersheds today. <br />· Mel Rettig. Interested in maintaining irrigated agriculture and would like to see how <br />nonconsumptive and consumptive uses are compared at end of the process. <br />· Tom Iseman. Interested in developing objective tools and products that reflect <br />roundtable priorities. Important that have objective platform. <br />· GeoffBlakesle. Need to look at both nonconsumptive and consumptive uses. Hopes <br />that this group can identify acceptable data sources and use those data sources to <br />quantify water dependent natural in state and methods for protecting these resources <br />· Mark Pifller. SWSI Phase 2 efforts should not be ignored and hope that this group and <br />roundtables will use this information. Objectives should be to develop a common <br />template to define and measure instream needs and a basis to sort priorities that helps <br />reduce conflict. <br />· Dan Simon. Looking at RICD's as important tool. Seeks to collaborate with other <br />recreation users. <br />· John Carney. When Colorado Tmst formed they assembled maps of water based <br />priorities. Would like to see locally driven priorities that are widely accepted at state <br />level. <br />· Lane Wyatt. Would like to technical and strong science based quantification in time <br />and place. <br />· Julio Iturreria. Objective: statewide maps that realistically and scientifically represent <br />assumptions and facts. <br />· Hank Hotze: Gunnison Basin Roundtable Rec rep. <br /> <br />Presentation & Discussion of Draft Strategy- Melinda Kassen, Tom Iseman <br />Melinda presented power point slides on the draft strategy that are provided at the end of <br />this summary. <br /> <br />Questions and comments included: <br /> <br />· Will flat water information be included? Yes. <br /> <br />Tom discussed course water characterization and slides are attached at end of this <br />summary . <br /> <br />Questions and comments included: <br /> <br />· What are the data sources? Metadata will be important. <br />· Must look beyond flows for what will work - habitat is also important. <br />· Need to tap federal agency land manager's databases. Need to include Forrest service, <br />BLM and riparian assessments. <br />
