Thank you Madame Chair. I just wanted to express my support for
this bill the way we have completed it through this process here in
this Committee and I want to thank not only the sponsor but also
the Chairman for your hard work on this bill. Being on this
Committee for the last several years, we have had a great deal of
acrimony when it comes to water bills from basin to basin, and I
think that this is an important step to go forward to try to deal with
some of the problems that are associated with this topic.

And having this bill go forward to try to deal with each of the
unique problems in each one of the unique basins is a good step
forward and I will be an Aye vote.

I, too, would like to express my support for this bill. I think we've
done a lot of good work on this bill. In the past I've sat here and
listened to a lot of testimony and a lot of conversation on water
bills and having to represent the western slope and protect our
water, I think this is a good vehicle to be able to protect that water
and have all of the necessary guidelines in place to be able to move
forward with some really good partnerships, and I see that coming
from this bill. And I would like to express my support for this bill.

Thank you Madame Chair and Representative Penry, I don't think
that this bill's done quite yet. It has a long way to go in the
process. I know that we will work hard to develop a legislative
declaration that's more amenable to members on this Committee,
and I'd like to be a part of that. I'm making a leap of faith here that
mral entities will be well represented and have an equal voice to
that of the urban areas, especially in my case with the Lower
Arkansas, and I look forward to those discussions.

And I do appreciate the ongoing discussions we'll have furthering
the, not just the talk but the action of having the state work
together. And hopefi.Jlly we can do those in times of not just
drought but have these discussions when people can - not have
