Soil
characterization was necessary to obtain data for
a voluntary clean up plan for the site. We thank
Charlie Kaplan of Peter L. Gluck & Partners
Architects in New York for this assignment.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DAVE FOSS

Dave Foss received an early holiday gift when
he learned that he successfully completed the
difficult principals and practice of engineering
examination administered in October. As a
result, the Colorado Board of Registration has
awarded Dave registration as a professional
engineer. Dave is proud to join the group of
other P.E.s employed in WWE's Denver,
Glenwood Springs, and Durango offices.

VILLAGE HOMES

Village Homes retained WWE to create a
stormwater management plan (SWMP) for the
Beehive Estates Subdivision in Grand Junction.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment permit for stormwater discharges
associated with construction activities requires
that developers whose projects result in a
disturbance of greater than one acre prepare a
SWMP and obtain coverage under the state
general permit.

WWE appreciates the opportunity to assist
Village Homes with regulatory compliance for
stormwater.

JON JONES' PANEL DISCUSSION

The American Water Resources Association
will hold its Second National Water Resources
Policy Dialogue in Tucson, Arizona on February
14 and 15. We led the scientific work there
for the last 10 years. The sites were officially
designated as National Historic Civil
Engineering Landmarks in September 2004.

WWE/WEI
