SEWCD Water Needs Assessment - Deleted <br />This item was deleted. <br /> <br />'J <br /> <br />Colorado River (Mainstem) Basin Director's Report <br />Tape 4: Start/Stop: 2999 - 4020 <br />Action: Eric Kuhn told the Board that there were two basin meetings held in his <br />area. The interest in the area is higher than the meeting attendance <br />indicated. He has met with NOAA to determine some of the weather <br />predictions/conditions to attempt to predict the area conditions for 2001. A <br />BLM wilderness area was established near Grand Junction and the <br />legislation was passed. This was an information item. No action was <br />taken. <br /> <br />23a. <br /> <br />23b. Yampa-White River Basin Director's Report <br />Tape 4: Start/Stop: 4026 - 4399 <br />Action: David Smith reported that there had been two basin meetings in his area - <br />one at Hayden. The sharp-tail grouse is one of the issues that have <br />become important in the Yampa-White River Basin, although this may be <br />more of a land-use issue. This was an information item. No action was <br />taken. <br /> <br />23c. San Juan/San Miguel-Dolores River Basin Director's Report . <br />Tape 4: Start/Stop: 4407 - 5318 <br />Action: Don Schwindt passed out draft reports on the basin meetings held in his <br />area. Cat Schrier and Dan McAuliffe, (CWCB ), assisted Don Schwindt <br />with his presentation. This was an information item. No action was taken. <br /> <br />23d. Gunnison River Basin Director's Report <br />Tape 4: Start/Stop: 5320 - 6210 <br />Action: Keith Catlin reported that the basin meeting held in his area went very well. <br />CWCB received quite a bit of good information from the people attending <br />the meeting. One of the big problems in his area is the Black Canyon and <br />the water rights in that basin. CWCB does have Instream flow rights in the <br />canyon so the Board will closely watch any issues decided about the <br />activities in the area. There is also some concern about salinity content in <br />the Gunnison River. This was an information item. No action was taken. <br /> <br />23e.
