The primary purpose of inspection is to determine, on an ongoing basis, <br />whether or not CONTRACTOR's work is adequate to meet the requirements set forth <br />in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR shall notify DISTRICT within two business days when an area has <br />been completed and is ready for inspection. DISTRICT shall inspect said area within <br />two business days of notification by CONTRACTOR. DISTRICT will notify <br />CONTRACTOR within two business days of inspection if areas are not accepted. <br />CONTRACTOR shall have three business days to correct the unaccepted areas and <br />shall notify DISTRICT when said areas have been corrected. If CONTRACTOR <br />fails to correct the unaccepted areas or to notify DISTRICT within this stated time <br />period, then payment for the work performed on said unaccepted area shall be <br />deducted from the CONTRACTOR's payment. DISTRICT shall then re-inspect <br />within two business days of this notification. Up to two re-inspections will be <br />allotted per area per incident of non-compliance. If the final re-inspection yields an <br />unaccepted condition, then payment for the work performed on said unaccepted area <br />shall be deducted from the CONTRACTOR's payment. <br /> <br />In performing inspections, D~STRICT shall prepare a written inspection report and <br />shall identify which inspected areas are accepted or unaccepted. One copy of said <br />inspection report will be given to crew if located in the field and one copy will be <br />sent to the CONTRACTOR's office. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Work Schedule <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR shall submit to DISTRICT, on a weekly basis, schedules which <br />shall show the order in which CONTRACTOR proposes to carryon the work, with <br />dates when CONTRACTOR will initiate work on a segment of the project, and <br />estimated rates of completion of the several segments and parts of the work. <br />CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for notifying DISTRICT one (1) business day <br />in advance of starting any work not covered in the above submitted schedule. <br />CONTRACTOR shall provide to DISTRICT updated schedules as requested by <br />DISTRICT and within one business day ofDISTRICT's,request. <br /> <br />All work and services performed by CONTRACTOR hereunder shall be timely and <br />diligently performed in accordance with the Basic Contract Schedule for this contract <br />and in accordance with the schedules submitted to DISTRICT on a weekly basis. <br />CONTRACTOR shall complete all services with the highest degree of competence <br />and care, and in accordance with the accepted standards for professional services of a <br />similar nature. <br /> <br />Once CONTRACTOR has begun work on a DISTRICT project, CONTRACTOR <br />shall not interrupt work under this CONTRACT to work elsewhere. <br /> <br />15 <br />
