Joe Franks: local boy made good; attended School of Mines; made concern manager of lower south Platte district; concern of movement of water from one area to another and impact on community Kent Sweetland: Sterling; teacher for 35 years; during summer served as assistant water commissioner; served as ditch rider for no. 1 ditch; learned more in those 3 weeks Bill Brown: Hockey Player extraordinare; practice water law; grew up in ND and MN; trial lawyer that tried water case; now serves on NCWCD Ralph Tobler: Came to CO 30 years ago to go to CU and Mines for graduate school; geologic background stirred water interest; roundtable work gives an applied perspective to scientific uses Lisa McVicker: South park sheep creek; elk calving; practices law; daughter of state senator and former us congressman; fishing with dad; John Carver Sportsman case in South park; protecting water law Gary Herman: Plant manager: sugar beet plants, corn plants; need water for those plants; CO native; Board of local ditch company; no hair problem; no hair at all Ken Huston: Manager of Longmont Well water; time in Big Spring area and understands farming and Ag; knowledge of water issues both urban and mral and dedication to solving some of these problems; Mike Shimmin: Water Rights lawyer; represents Bijou Irrigation System; remembers the 65 flood when water was almost to Rainbow bridge; grew up on farm; has compassion for water users; impressed with his compassion; Walt Knudsen: retired from Jeff Co planning commission; served in state engineers office for 25 years; 35 years total with water; employed by county commissioners by Jeff CO; concerns about ground water in the mountains and drilling into fractured water systems and sustainability of this kind of water for mountain areas; Joe Stone: from headwaters of South Platte; works with municipal water; originally form East TX and is professional writer; makes Phil Steinenger: Grew up in Indiana; moved to Palmer Lake served as a water commissioner; now lives in Douglas County; manages W oodmore Water and Sanitation District; East side of Monument;
