I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Alternate 0: Reservoirs within Local Swales and Upgrade of the Existing Water Treatment Plant 0-1: Lot 5-11th Filing A 20 acre-foot reservoir had earlier been proposed for this site, but was subsequently abandoned as a storage right. It is currently being re-considered by the Pinewood Springs Water District, but is outside the scope of the Planning Document. 0-2: Crow Lane Two reservoir sites were identified in the Crow Lane swale between Crow Lane and Highway 36. For each of these sites, a 20' high dam and a 35' high dam are to be considered. The north site is referred to in this Planning Document as Reservoir No.1, while the south is Reservoir No.2. As originally envisioned, a combination of these two reservoirs would be needed to meet the design criteria. It appears, however, that a single reservoir with a correctly sized dam will provide adequate storage. Reservoir No.2 does not appear to be as suitable as Reservoir No. 1 because of a new house built on the southeast side of the No.2 site. The existing water treatment plant would be upgraded as outlined in Altemate A. A fill and draw system would also be needed. Alternate E: Additional Wells Manifolded Together to Increase Raw Water Supply Additional wells would be drilled under this altemative, manifolded together, and provided with new treatment facilities (similar to existing facilities) located throughout the well field(s) as dictated by geographical proximity of the wells and treatment needs of the produced water. Alternate F: Storage at Buttonrock Reservoir and Upgraded Water Treatment Plant Buttonrock Reservoir is located in Sections 17, 18, 19, and 20 of Township 3N, Range 71W. The possibility of storage at this Reservoir by the Pinewood Springs Water District with water to be conveyed with a pipeline and treated at the expanded water treatment plant outlined in Altemate A 4
