<br />8. PRESENTATIONS: <br /> <br />Lane Wyatt, Upper Colorado Study (UPCO) <br />Dick Proctor, Grand Valley <br /> <br />Lane Wyatt provided a powerpoint presentation on the UPCO Study. This was a study <br />conducted over about a four to five year time frame examining in detail the supplies and demands <br />on the Colorado River System above Kremm1ing, essentially Grand and Summit Counties. <br />Sponsored by a number of entities, it looked at future build-out in these two counties, under the <br />assumptions of increased utilization of the existing trans mountain diversion systems, attempting to <br />identify where the shortages in M&I, environmental and recreational flows existed. <br /> <br />Project sponsors: Colorado River District; Middle Park Water Conservation District, <br />Grand County, Summit County, NWCCOG/QQ, Denver Water, <br />Northern Colorado Water Conservation District, Colorado Springs, <br />CWCB, and DOLA. <br /> <br />UPCO Project Considerations: Water supply issues <br />In-stream issues <br />Recreational issues <br />Water quality <br /> <br />Goal: To develop mutually beneficial solutions. <br /> <br />Overview of User Interface: <br /> <br />User <br /> <br />Modeled Demands <br /> <br />Acre F eet/Y ear <br />Existing Future <br /> <br />Grand & Summit <br />Counties <br />Denver <br />Colorado-Big Tom <br />Windy Gap <br /> <br />11 ,000 <br /> <br />31,650 <br /> <br />375,000 <br />225,000 <br />50,000 <br /> <br />285,000 <br />225,000 <br />25,000 <br /> <br />Window for kayaking and rafting will be curtailed on Blue River.
