<br />1986 Western Slope collecting facilities <br />1987 Horsetooth and Carter and delivery canals <br />2006 Bureau of Reclamation directive to look into transferring more operations and <br />maintenance to Northern. <br /> <br />7. Eric Hecox: Funds available to Round Tables: <br /> <br />Funding. New money is available in grant or loans from Senate Bill 179: $10 million <br />per year for 4 years; $40 million total. <br /> <br />IBCC and the Colorado Water Conservation Board will decide together on <br />funding. <br />Next IBCC meeting is June 30. Will decide whether to form a working group. <br />Location will be somewhere in South Platte basin (i.e., Metro Denver). <br />4 different categories of funding; 39-29-109(1)(a)(III) (A-D): <br /> <br />(A) Competitive grants for environmental compliance and feasibility studies; <br />(B) Technical assistance regarding permitting, feasibility studies, and <br />environmental compliance; <br />(C) Studies or analyses of structural, nonstructura1, consumptive, and non- <br />consumptive water needs, projects, or activities; and <br />(D) Structural and nonstructura1 water projects or activities. <br /> <br />This is not intended to be an exhaustive list; others can be added. <br /> <br />Minimum criteria: Water activities can only be funded if recommended by the RT. <br /> <br />We should start thinking: <br /> <br />What are the needs of our particular areas. <br />Where are the holes in the available information. <br />Where is the money available for studies and where is it not available (example: <br />environmental and recreational). <br /> <br />Stan Cazier: There is money available. IBCC and the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />(CWCB) appointed three individuals to develop grant guidelines: <br /> <br />Harold Miskell <br />Barbara Biggs <br />Eric Wilkinson (CWCB) <br /> <br />CWCB has had their program for many years. <br /> <br />Example: What kind of things would make a difference in the Colorado Basin RT. What type of <br />projects do we recommend as a basin and how do we get them done? Does this have to be <br />mutually beneficial for the entire state? Is there money available for a pumpback in Frazier or a <br />small reservoir?
