IThe Union Ditch Company has filed <br />application for an augmentation plan to pr~)Vide replacement water for 40 junior <br />wells owned by the shareholders, formerlyiserviced by GASP. This project involves <br />I <br />the development of 3 recharge ponds, placement of flow measurement devices, and <br />headgate structures into the ponds. The pbnds will be filled by gravity flow from <br />I <br />the Union Ditch. Union Ditch Company is currently constructing one recharge <br />I <br />pond at the Miller Feedlot Site with an accqmpany diversion structure on the Union <br />Ditch. The overall augmentation efforts ar~ anticipated to be completed by the fall <br />I <br />of 2007. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />22. I Project Type: Raw Water <br /> <br />The Pinewood Springs Water District is located ~ast of Estes Park on US 36 and provides <br />I <br />water to 268 taps with a projected build out of 35p taps. Their current water supply is from <br />I <br />the Little Thompson River, which they treat withj a micro-filtration unit. The District has <br />no water storage and has been greatly impacted by the on-going drought. This project <br />will provide the following water components: cdnstruction of 51 acre-foot Crow Lane <br />Reservoir No.1, a new pump station, 5500 linear Ifeet of 6-inch transmission pipe, <br />modifications to their infiltration gallery, and the!purchase of 90 shares of CBT water. The <br />pipeline portion of the project was bid in April o~ 2006, with the low bidder being Temple <br />Construction, at a bid price of $510,000. This wqrk has been completed. Work on the <br />pump station commenced in the fall of 2006 and ~as been completed and tested. The <br />construction of the reservoir has been delayed d~e land acquisition problems and final SEO <br />review. The overall project is anticipated to be c9mplete and operational by December of <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2007. <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />I <br />Hope Ditch Company - Well Replacement <br />I <br />I <br />I County: Adams <br />, Project Yield: 11.5 AF <br />Project Type: Well Replacement <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Well- Denver Basin <br />Terms of Loan: $153,OOO@3.75% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />The Hope Ditch Company provides water to a Piortion of the Wiesner Subdivision, <br />located in Adams County. The Company's existing well drilled in 1963, provided <br />I <br />domestic water to 23 homes in the subdivision. lOver the years the existing well casing <br />has significantly deteriorated, causing the well ~roduction to go from 30 gpm to 7 gpm. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />54 <br />
