<br />. <br /> <br />Water Source: Pass Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $854,OOO@ 2.5% for 30 yrs. <br />Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Project Yield: 240 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir <br /> <br />McElroy Reservoir is a Class III, 35 foot high dam holding 240 AF of irrigation water <br />located in Grand County approximately 5 miles north and west of Kremmling. The <br />Reservoir is on land owned by the State Land Board and leased/operated/maintained by <br />the Tom Hill family. On June 17, 2006 the outlet works failed and the embankment of the <br />reservoir began piping through the outlet works. The Hills received a verbal breach <br />order from the SEO in the summer of 2006. This project is a total dam replacement. The <br />project design has been completed and approved by the SEO. The existing dam was <br />breached last fall with project construction scheduled for July of 2007. <br /> <br />20. Debeque, Town of - Irrigation System Improvement Project <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: Mancos River <br />Terms of Loan: $427,700@ 2.5% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Montezuma <br />Project Yield: 1,781 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />The Town of DeBeque is constructing a new collection structure in the Colorado River <br />and pump/piping system as part of the Irrigation System Improvements Project. The <br />Project is expected to cost $370,000 and provide an improvement to the Town's <br />irrigation water delivery system. The improvements will increase delivery quantity and <br />efficiency and will also reduce the demand on the Town's drinking water supply. The <br />Town is located approximately 30 miles east of Grand Junction and serves 480 residents <br />with sewer and water. The present irrigation system serves approximately half of the <br />Towns residence however the system is often low on pressure and unreliable. In <br />addition to increasing system reliability, this project will help utilize a recently acquired <br />3.5 cfs surface water right on the Colorado River. The project involves the construction <br />of new diversion/control structure at the river, pump house, and 3,000 feet of pipeline to <br />the town's existing storage tank. Project is approximately 40% complete and is <br />anticipated to be finished by November of 2007. <br /> <br />21.
