<br />Current Supplies and Storage <br /> <br />C-BT <br />C-BT water, including the multi-use yield from ownership of shares in the North <br />Poudre Irrigation Company (NPIC), is delivered year-round on demand directly <br />from Horsetooth Reservoir. <br /> <br />Poudre River Water <br />Water Supply and Storage Company shares owned by the District are the subject <br />of an Application for Change of Water Rights, Alternate Points of Diversion, <br />Alternate Places of Storage and Exchange submitted to District Court, Water <br />Division No. 1 and assigned Case Number 03-CW -422. <br /> <br />The decree sought by ELCO will allow diversion of water derived from its WSSC <br />shares at the Poudre River headgate of the Munroe Canal for delivery to the <br />Soldier Canyon Filter Plant through the Pleasant Valley Pipeline. By contract, <br />ELCO's use of the Pleasant Valley Pipeline is limited to seven months (April <br />through October). When converted WSSC water is available but not needed to <br />meet District demands, it will be diverted for storage or exchanged for water <br />deliverable at a different location or time. <br /> <br />The City of Thornton has converted 283 of the 600 WSSC shares for municipal <br />use. Conditions ofELCO's final decree are expected to resemble those <br />established for the City of Thornton. When possible, these water rights are exchanged on an annual basis <br />for C-BT water. When no C-BT water is available for exchange, the water rights <br /> <br />10 <br />
