<br />.~ ~ <br /> <br />~.. =-- <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />Project No. POWD-5K4E-Ol <br />October 28, 1996 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Feasibility Study Outline <br /> <br />Project Study Objective - The study objective will describe the need for the project and the <br />problems and/or opportunities to be addressed to meet the expectations of the study participants. <br /> <br />Project Sponsor/Institutional Aspects - The section will provide a description of the sponsoring <br />entity, namely the Powderhorn Metropolitan District addressing the applicable items outlined in <br />Section 4.2.2 of theCWCB Guidelines. Also addressed will be the institutional aspects of the <br />projects, such as permitting, which may be required for compliance with government agencies <br />or other parties. <br /> <br />Previous Studies - This section will identify and presents results or information from prior studies <br />and investigations which have been made on the Robbins Reservoir. <br /> <br />Project Site Description - This section will provide a description of the project site location and <br />geographic area to be served by the proposed project. <br /> <br />Water Demands - This section will describe the water demands for the study area or metropolitan <br />area to be served. <br /> <br />Project Site Description and Access Road - This section will describe the project site and access <br />road requirements to the project. <br /> <br />Water Rights and Water Storage Requirements - This item will identify available water sources, <br />existing water rights and the water storage requirements to be provided by the Robbins Reservoir. <br />Included will be an estimate of the physical and legal availability of water for the project. <br /> <br />Water Quality - This section will describe the water quality as it relates to the suitability of the <br />sources for the proposed uses. <br /> <br />Field Investigations - This section will provide a description of field investigations, including the <br />field survey services necessary, such as for topography, horizontal and vertical control, dam cross- <br />sections, existing irrigation structures, access to project and existing supply pipeline. A <br />description of the geotechnical field and laboratory services will be provided to include soils <br />sampling and material testing for soil classification, proctors, percolation tests, moisture-density <br />tests, etc. <br /> <br />Evaluation of Alternatives - This section will describe and identify alternatives which may be <br />applicable to the project for evaluation in order to identify preferred alternative or plan for <br />project implementation. <br />
