Ju I y 8, 1 9 9 6

Colo. Water Conservation Board
Department of Natural Resources
721 state Centennial Bldg.
1313 Sherman st.
Denver, Co. 80203

RECEIVED
JUl 1 0 1996

Colorado Water
Cons8IVation Board

Dear Mr. Green,

We received the final report from GEl Consultants, Inc.
last week. After reviewing the report, I called Mike Graber
in Pueblo. His reaction was to accept the report as written
because it appeared to accurately express the core drill
findings.

Mike Graber will call Byron Johnson soon to express his
opinion that as we approach construction, we should use the
conservative side of the data rather than use the averages for
design purposes.

On his recommendation, we have paid the full invoiced amount
--less $5,000.00. The total payment amounted to $13,568.61.
When we receive your payment, we will pay GEl Consultants, Inc.
in full.

As to the next step in the planning process, we would like
Byron Johnson, Mike Graber and you to meet with us at a special
board meeting called for this purpose. A target date could
be set as early as Aug. 15. It appears that Byron Johnson and
Mike Graber are very close on the prefered alternative for repair
of DeWeese. It is our hope that we can make a positive stride
toward contract preparation with this next report and get to
construction wlo extended delays and costs.

If a concensus can be reached at this meeting, we would
like to apply for a loan to begin the next phase.

Please call or write anytime.

Sincerely,

/ ~~9:-t9n-rJ

President DeWeese-Dye Ditch
& Reservoir Co.

c:;,U ~--- r~'

~

7ecscrF

CEZ-
/5~

./0-' ?"o/..: <" ~
