This option, in the final analysis, offered the lowest cost per <br />. acre/foot of reservoir storage. <br /> <br />A) Project Design' <br />*************** <br /> <br />I)'Water Supply <br /> <br />The Little Thompson River shall continue as the primary supply of raw wa- <br />ter with the existing infiltration' gallery conveying raw water from the River <br />to the existing and adjacent treatment Plant, located at Cree Court and the ,.' <br />River, for ultimate delivery to the distribution system. <br /> <br />l'-- , <br /> <br />.! <br /> <br />2) Treatment <br /> <br />The new treatment unit for this project will be equal to a Memcor Model <br />6MI0-C micro-filtration system as manufactured by the U.S. Filter Com- <br />pany, of identical capacity to the existing unit, with the following produc- <br />tion rates: <br /> <br />Average SUID.Irierproduction > 15 degrees Centigrade-36 gallons per minute <br /> <br /> <br />Peak summer production> 15 degrees Centigrade------40 gallons per minute <br /> <br />Average winter production> 1 degree Centigraq.e---32 gallons per minute <br /> <br />Peak winter production> 1 degree Centigrade-----36 gallons per minute <br /> <br />These production rates are net rates for the unit, after reasonable allowance' <br />for routine air backwash, so that the 24 hour production rate for any of the <br />conditions indicated is the above related gpm multiplied by 1440. <br /> <br />Periodically, depending on the head loss across the filter membranes, a <br />.
