In. addition to the these disadvantages common to all
four Crow Lane sites, is the following summary of other advantages and dis-
advantages unique to each.

Crow Lane #1-35' high dam

Advantage: On a conceptual basis, this alternate offers the most capacity ( 51
acre/feet) of all of the other alternates considered, including "A", "B", and
"C", and the other Crow Lane alternates. It also has the lowest cost per
acre/foot of all of the alternates.

Disadvantage: This reservoir will require the relocation of a segment of the ex-
isting treated water distribution system, as well as an existing septic system,
both currently beneath the proposed reservoir site.

Crow Lane #1 ~20' high dam

Advantage: Requires approximately 40% of the area to be acquired for the 35'
high dam.

Disadv~tage: Yields only 12 acre/foot of storage representing a unit cost per
acre/foot almost four times that of the 35' high dam. Also requires relocation of
existing water line and septic system.

Crow Lane #2-35' high dam

Advan~e: Requires very littlerelocatio~ of the existing' water line, and none
of the existing' septic system.

Disadvanta1!:e:. Requires acquisition of an existing residence, in addit~on to
land. Requires relocation of existing pump station.

Crow Lane #2 -20' high dam

Advantage: Does not require purchase of an existing residence.

Disadvantage: Has the smallest capacity and the highest cost per acre /foot of
all Crow Lane alternates.

30
