<br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />The AGU A File <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Bill Green <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />April 30, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Meeting with Dick Evans and Rocky Mountain Consultants <br /> <br />On April 29, Jan Illian and I met with Dick Evans of the Arkansas Groundwater Users <br />Association and his consultant to discuss the feasibility study for a loan request for AGUA's <br />augmentation program. Evans was reluctant to discuss the details of the proposed transaction <br />for the acquisition of water rights but indicated a cost of somewhat less than $1.0 million <br />with a possible closing date of January 3, 1997. They are intending to submit a feasibility <br />study in early July and would like to make a formal request to the Board for funding from the <br />Arkansas River Augmentation Loan Account in September of this year. <br /> <br />cc: Chuck Lile <br />Bill Stanton <br />Jan I1lian <br />Linda Bassi, AG 's Office <br />
