This website design work has already been included in plans for the web <br />designer's first quarter schedule. Actual work will begin around January 24th <br />and be live on the website for public consumption in early March. <br /> <br />7. Leaislative Affairs <br />. Solicit letters of Xeriscape support/community encouragement from local, <br />state and federal elected officials <br />. Mail a copy ofthe DVD, with a cover letter, to every member of the Colorado <br />General Assembly. Ask Govemor-elect Ritter to introduce the DVD <br />distribution effort on the floor of the House and Senate when the DVDs land <br />on March 20th, and declare "Douglas County Xeriscape Day". Ask the <br />General Assembly to adopt a joint resolution supporting the effort. <br />. Governor-elect Ritter and leadership in the State House have already <br />expressed support of the DVD distribution effort, though specific acts are <br />premature ahead of CWCB action. Many elected officials have offered to <br />write letters of support. Copies of the DVD have already been handed to the <br />staff of the nine members of the Congressional delegation in Washington D.C. <br />Other mailing will followed in late January, immediately after the CWCB acts <br />to approve the grant. <br /> <br />B. Broadcast Communications . <br />. Doualas County Television Network Now entering its 9th year, the Douglas <br />County Television Network is one of the County's most important <br />communications assets with its ability to reach approximately 50,000 <br />individual cable television subscriber households, as well as the 80+ percent <br />of the County with at home access to the Intemet with video streaming. <br />Network programming is developed to align with the priorities of the County <br />and its citizens. The Network DC, previously known as Douglas County <br />Television and DCB, strives to personify living, working and playing in Douglas <br />County, while also inviting the community to become more involved in the <br />governance of matters that impact their lives. Now on three government <br />access channels (DCB, Real 54 and Info 22) and on demand through the <br />Web site, www.dc8.us. The Network continues to evolve new approaches to <br />building and engaging community. <br /> <br />The television network will be used extensively to pre-promote <br />DVD distribution and continue as an education tool on Waterwise <br />behavior. The DVD to be distributed has already been broadcast. <br /> <br />9. Retail Relations <br />. Cooperative efforts with Lawn & Garden Centers and Box Stores <br />.
