The Center for the American West - with whom Douglas County is having water conservation public education dialogue - is looking for ways to support education in schools, and on water efforts. These discussions are ongoing. Action Item: . Create a Douglas County Master Gardeners advice/hot line . This effort will begin atter January 24th, and completed by early March. 4. Municipal Government Affairs . Town websites, newsletters, utility mailings, Rec. Center catalogs . Encourage classes to be taught as part of Rec. Center programs Action Items: . Identify locations of or locations for Xeriscape demonstration projects . This effort will begin atter January 24th and hopefully will be an ongoing effort in the community for years to come. . 5. Collateral Desian . DVD Packaging . Posters . Countertop promotional displays . Statement stuffers for use by water providers/metro districts throughout the County . Public Service Ads Action Items: . Above items will be designed by in-house graphic designer . This effort will be begun atter January 24th, and prioritized. With turn-around time short in order to meet the requirements of the duplication house, the packaging will be prioritized first. Fortunately, much of the art works for this effort already exists, and will only need to be reformatted. The posters and other displays will be derived from the same artwork, and must meet printer's deadlines. PSAs are largely text, and can be created after the other two deadlines are prioritized. All work will be completed in time for distribution in support of the DVD distribution. The statement stuffers have already been discussed amongst the water providers. Notices will begin appearing to alert customers of the pending DVD distribution as soon as the CWCB approval is received (on or around January 24th). . 6. Online Communications . Douglas County will create a Xeriscape Landing Page with links to Colorado Water Conservation Board, Colorado Foundation for Water Education, municipal, library, school district, water providers, HOA and other community- based websites . Website will be the site to which all marketing communications materials will drive those seeking additional information Action Items:
