The Town has invested significant monies in developing the water conservation plans. Not only
have they invested in staff time but have also invested in hiring consultants to aid with the plan.
The Town has paid $363,707 to consultants in the development of the Water Resources
Strategic Master Plan. As this Plan supplies significant information, we have estimated that 15%
or $54,556 of these resources has been used in the development of the Water Conservation
Plan. Year to date the Town has spent $141,276 on the development ofthe Water
Conservation Plan. The Town is requesting an additional $12,000 to aid in the analysis of
streetscapes and commercial properties as well as supplement the cost of staff time used to
complete this Plan. Seventy-five percent of the money will be paid to a consultant to evaluate
the top ten users in each of the two categories, performing approximately 20 audits and
analysis of these users.
