Assist entities in obtaining and keeping funding for <br />walerprojects <br /> <br />The largest gap klenlified in 8WSI is In Montrose County, <br />which is due 10 the amount of firm yield that would be <br />needed if the Tri-State Power Facility were expanded. <br />The results of the gap analysis are presented in Ftgure <br />2,2 <br /> <br />A program that considers flow for non-consumptive uses <br />in the Southwest Basin is the San Juan River Basin <br />Recovery Implementation Program, established in 1992. <br />The purpose of this program is to protect and recover <br />endangered fishes In the San Juan Bas!n wtllle water <br />development proceeds in compliance with all applicable <br />federal and state laws. <br /> <br />Numerous eWeB instream flow rights have been <br />decreed on major rivers and tributaries In the Southwest <br />Basin.
