The reservoir is at elevation 11,400 feet and is located <br />approximately 10 miles from Maysville on the North Fork of the South Arkansas River. This project <br />involves replacement of the outlet gate, improved access, increased spillway capacity, seepage control, <br />and raising the dam 15-feet to achieve a storage capacity of 500 acre-feet. The project is located on <br />Forest Service property, which required a special use permit and an environmental assessment prior to <br />construction. The project has been awarded to ASI, Buena Vista, Colorado, with commencing in August <br />of 2006. The work at this time is limited to the outlet, seepage control and spillway work. Enlargement <br />of the reservoir will occur at a later date. The project is approximately 55% complete. <br /> <br />21. Beaver Reservoir Company - Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: Minnesota Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $128,500 @2.50% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Gunnison <br />Project Yield: 1,620 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Beaver Reservoir is located in Gunnison County at elevation 8, 100-ft. The existing dam is 113 feet high <br />and has a storage capacity of 1,620 acre-feet. The reservoir is used to store and regulate the release of <br />irrigation water to a 3,400-acre service area. In 1958 the Company built the reservoir, and in 1995 the <br />Company borrowed $415,000 from CWCB to install a liner to address seepage problems identified by the <br />SEO. This project consists of stabilizing the reservoir liner and to replace the hydraulic valve and gate on <br />the intake end of the outlet structure. The project is currently under construction by Farnsworth <br />Construction Company, Paonia, Colorado and is anticipated to be complete by the fall of 2006. The <br />Company is requesting an additional $25,250 in loan funds at the September 2006 Board Meeting, due to . <br />construction cost overruns. <br /> <br />22. Silt Water Conservancy District - System Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Colorado River <br />Terms of Loan: $1,019,700 @2.75%for30-years <br /> <br />County: Garfield <br />Project Yield: 18,000 acre-feet <br />Project Type: System Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Silt Water Conservancy District operates a system consisting of reservoirs, canals, pump plants, and <br />irrigation laterals varying in age from 50-100-years old. This project involves the rehabilitation of the Grass <br />Valley Canal siphon, addressing seepage at the Harvey Gap Dam, sediment removal from the spillway chute <br />at Rifle Gap Dam, and replacement of the pumps at the District's main Pump Plant. The siphon project is <br />currently under design by the Bureau of Reclamation and is scheduled for construction in the fall/winter of <br />2006/07. Soil investigation work has been completed at Harvey Gap Reservoir, with seepage control <br />measures to commence in the fall of 2006. <br /> <br />23 . The Company's system consists of Reservoir No. 1,2 and 3, all located on . <br />the Grand Mesa.
