Approximately 20 working days.

SUMMARY

This project was started with the towns two Public Wodes employees, who also took care
of treatment, distribution and streets. Om- estimated time to construct was from March of
1994 to August of 1994.

.

Shortly after the start of construction we enco1Jllter'ed more rock than anticipated which
slowed. us considerably, some days we only achieved 8'. This also called for more
backfill. Also gas and sewer lines took more time, average of a day per crossing. When
we encomtered good soil we averaged 200 to 300' a day. The average tap installation
was 2 taps per day. The project would have gone better, but we also contended wi1h a
water plant at capacity and several water breaks. This is where I feel additional
employees would have gotten us closer to an on time schedule. Test holes also would have
given us a better idea of soil conditions and that's why I added it to Preliminary
Construction.
