Ifroute crosses private property, sectD"e easements before starting construction. <br />This cost us in survey expense and negotiating settlements with affected property <br />owners. <br /> <br />STEP 2. Pick a proposed route that services most customers or larger conswnefB. (i.e.: <br />school fields, town parks) This will help size mains. <br /> <br />STEP 3. Locate utilities along proposed route, this may dictate which side of road or <br />alley to follow. <br /> <br />STEP 4. After route is chosen, dig test holes along route to see what type material will be <br />encomrtered (i.e.: rock, Boil, water). This will help in knowing ifblasting, <br />breaking and backfill quantities are going to be excessive or costly or time <br />. . <br />coll8UDl1.Dg; <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />STEP 1. The town started with as. C.S. designed Head Gate BIld Box with screen. This <br />box cost approximately $3,200.00 excavated and installed From this point we <br />followed designed plan.. <br /> <br />STEP 2. Hook to box and install 6" vent our particular application ,also 45 degrees at this <br />point and called for thrust block <br /> <br />STEP 3. We ran approximately 140' and 45 degrees again to get straightnm. Pipe being <br />bwied approximately 30" deep. <br /> <br />STEP 4. Encomrtered large ledge with approximately 6' drop, called designer, double 45 <br />degrees with mega-lugs to avoid thrust block. Added air vac station here. <br /> <br />STEP 5. <br /> <br />Made 1st. intocsection - 4th. & alley at Main. This was comer for High School <br />Athletic Field Approximately 92' drop in elevation from intersection to Athletic <br />Field Set 6" valve & box, air vac. ran to bottom ofhill approximately 400'. set <br />automatic drain, tapped customers as we went, 1" saddles, corps and curb <br />valves. Used 1" type K for services. Ran to top of hill and set another airvac at <br />
